manual gearbox selector problem

Having trouble selecting gears very stiff feels like something plastic is grabbing. I believe it might be what they call a Fulcrum bush failure. Has anyone replaced them does the gearbox have to come out? thanks neilo

You have probably already resolved this but I had the fulcrum bush collapse and was replaced without removing the gearbox.
Some years later I had problems with the gear selectors being really stiff and somehow a whole bunch of dirt and dust had got into the selector mechanism and I had the gearbox removed and overhauled.
