Oil Leaks on my 2002 Pajero NM Exceed

    Hello Friends,

I have been noticing oil leaks for sometime in my Pajero NM. This has been happening for a few months that prompted me to top up oil regularly after long drives.
Today I did an oil change and wiped all areas around and started the vehicle ran it for 10mins. Went underneath and checked. No fresh oil anywhere except I observed fresh oil underneath the first bolt that holds the exhaust manifold. I think there is a silvery shield covering that area so cannot see it from top. Ran my fingers around the rear cam seal but they were pretty dry.
Any pointers here will be greatly appreciated.

    regards

The area around the rear cam seals should be DRY. It is surprising how much oil can leak out there and not show down below - it gets burnt on the way down, especially if you do a lot of driving where the engine gets well warmed up. Not sure how much oil you are losing, but it can add up over time.
