    Titan Drawers - Supacentre

I've been looking at drawers and came across these which are for a Prado but the measurements look like they'd fit a Paj perfectly.

Any comments ? They are damn cheap compared to what i've seen around.

For what you pay they're not terrible... but don't have expectations of Outback quality...

For not much more, look at Best Offroad http://www.bestoffroad.net.au/products/
    ...

Jim makes a very nice product, and the drawers are tough and will be exactly what you need, rather than a bit of a compromise...

(I have no affiliation with the above)

I went to the 4wd super center and had a look at one while i was there. I was pretty impressed with them, they are all metal. I couldn't see a latch for the fridge slide though?? and one draw was a bit stiff. if i was in the market for drawers it would be hard not to buy them. p.s. would need to make your own wings if you wanted them.

Thanks for the responses so far. I have spoken to a guy at Best Off Road but they are around $1300 so it's a big jump up and I can't see that much difference.
One thing I noted on the Supacentre website was the weight.....69kg. I suppose that comes with the territory if they are all metal. I also want to keep access to the under floor storage and it looks like they fit that bill ok. I'll take a trip out to their Lilydale store in the morning for a look. i don't mind making my own wings so that's no big deal.

I had a look today and they are certainly a solid unit. The drawers slide easily and the built in fridge slide works well. Trouble is, that deal finished at midday today which I wasn't aware of. I put in an order online and they took my money but whether it gets done is another matter.

As for size, measuring the actual unit for the 120 Prado, that are a perfect fit for the Paj.

I have a sneaking suspicion that somewhere, sometime there just might be another Supercentre deal. Keep your fingers crossed.

The price of $495 delivered is advertised every second day. One day its $475 + $50 delivery and the next its $495 delivered. I can't understand how they can keep saying they are 63% off when its been the same price for ages.

Under the Australian Consumer Law, it is illegal to advertise a product as "x% off" if it is not actually being sold (not just offered) at the higher price. If it is generally only sold at the lower price they are breaking the law with mis-leading advertising. Shame this law isn't enforced properly.

If it was enforced half of Australian business,s would shut up shop. The other half would ignore it and hope they didnt get caught....just like what happens now.

They do make it very clear that the %off is calculated based on the price of similar items from other sellers.

Read the fine print and you will see how they sneakily get away with it:

                              They say "Worth $1495**"

Then scroll to the bottom of the page:

"**Worth means the approximate value of comparable products from the larger brands in the Australian market to our products."

So kinda dodgy but legal at the same time.
