    Replacing the reverse light switch

Just thought I’d post in case it helps someone else.

Reverse lights stopped worked. Checked globes and fuses and no issues,
Turned out to be the switch. So replaced it today.
NOte the Tridon web site is WRONG.
It says TBS009. This does NOT fit.
You need TRS078 - 14mm thread normally closed - which is the one they specify for Pajero of that year.
Also - old one is pain to get out because it’s up high on the rhs of the gearbox and there is no clearance!
In the end I cut the old wires off so I could slip a plug socket over the end and undo it. Luckily it wasn’t too tight.
New one screws in with a 24mm open spanner and is somewhat easier to get hold of.
Connect it up and all good.
    Good luck
