You've put a new filter in? Not sure how tight you would have done it up, but generally doing it up hand tight until firm than just back it off a touch is quite adequate. No need to put a monkeys arm on it for any future filter changes.

Also when you put new filter in, it's common practice to run a bead of oil around the oring of the new filter before fitting it.
Good advice on bead of oil on ceal (these days most come already lubed)

On oil filters will give you a recommendation of tightening.. usually 3/4 of a turn once ceal touches ... (I wouldnít recommend ever backing it off a touch after firm) actually at Honda we use to use the 3/4 rule and just a nip tighter with oil filter wrench as some had become loose and leaked ..
