Have been sitting on this one for a couple of weeks, but here's my rant.
Had the Challenger in for the 1500 scv (look over) at our selling dealer, had a few other issues inc the blue tooth not working, cargo barrier very poor fit including extra holes drilled in trim that aren't required, drivers seat has, what I would consider excess movement when getting in and out of the vehicle, paint is peeling off the rear bumper bar between the panels and the bumper bar and an issue with the fitment of the genuine towbar. The dealer carried out the dreaded ECU flash aswell. After a quick discussion with the service consultant it was decided to do the svc and the blue tooth and make a note of the other items to be done at a later date, happy. After waiting some 6 hrs for the svc and the blue tooth rectification to be completed, I was on my merry way. Not long down the road I noticed a small bracket sticking out of between the dash and centre console that was obviously not meant to be there, note to self, have a look where that's from when I get home. Half way home on the freeway I notice a rattle coming from the front of the car, do the lean to aim my ear and presto the bonnet is open ! Pull off the freeway into the dirt (emergency lane) and with a few choice words, shut the bonnet properly, then the attempt to get back onto the (Kwinana) freeway at 4:30 was a battle Removed the bracket when I got home with some tweezers and a pair of long nose. Looks like a dash bracket of some description - and after the bonnet, bluetooth, cargo barrier, paint and towbar - couldn't care less where it's from. Rang the svc department the next morning to inform them of the bonnet and bracket etc etc with very little response, after looking at an email picture of the bracket, I was assured the technician knew exactly where the bracket was from ! The most disappointing thing is I have more issues now than when we started and what else have they done, removed, loosened, bent, scratched etc that I can't see or hear. Love our Challenger, but as you can tell from my long winded rant, not happy with the service at all. I guess on the lighter side, it can only get better. Cali
