    Uneven suspension

My right hand rear is 17mm lower than the left. I have lovely end springs (previously had Dobinson HD and the same difference left to right). Is it normal to have a difference of this much?
Second battery is in the third seat well on the left side and all tools are in the left side draw, fridge slide is on the right (fridge not currently fitted).
    The front is level.

Sounds like it might be due to the gear you are carting around in the back. Maybe take it all out, including the battery, and measure again. At least that way the gear in the back is not part of the problem.

Don't really have to much in the back.
      LHS:
      Tools aprox 6kg, jack 3kg, compressor 7.3kg. Battery+charger 35kg
      Center:
Draw system ?kg (marine ply no runners)
Battery box (marine ply full sub floor) 5kg

      RHS:
Fridge slide 20kg, cutlery plates etc 9kg.

      Rear outside:
Steal rear bar with wheel carrier on RHS and jerry can carrier on left.

      Ride height:
      FL 545mm
      FR 556mm
      Rl 550mm
      RR 531mm

I can't do anything about the current weight distribution and when adding a 49kg child in position of the fridge this made no difference in the measurements..

Is it normal/ acceptable to have such a variation in heights? What would be better spacers or airbags to get a bit more height in the rear?

Could one spring be longer than the other?

OJ posted here a while back that coils are marked L&R.

          Did you do the install?

If you post the spring brand and part number if it is King, OME, Dobinson or Lovell’s then I can tell you if the springs are left and right handed and different lengths.
What you really need to do is to get each wheel weighed when the car is on a flat level surface to check how close the left and right weights are.

17mm difference in ride height is only 7mm in spring length because of the IRS so part of this could be a worn lower coil insulator rubber.

              Hi OJ,
Rear springs are Lovells 50mm+ Raised Extra Extra Heavy Duty Rear Springs (CRR-92HD), they where installed by the local Opposite Lock, the springs came from Bushskinz. Rubbers where replaced when the springs where fitted. Previously had dobinson HDs on the rear these I had changed out thinking it may have been the cause of the height difference.

Front springs are Dobinsons HD (don't know P/N).

              Cheers

Fuel tank and spare wheel are both on the right hand side, this is not insignificant as far as weight distribution goes, does it drive evenly but just sit uneven or does it feel particularly wallowy on rh rear ? as in the rh spring is noticeably weaker.

                  fourocker,
the car drives and feels fine it just stands out that its uneven so much so that a few people have made comment. I also would like to have more lift in the rear.

Martiallaw, from your measurements I don't understand how it can be 11mm lower on the front left and 19mm lower on the rear right. I wouldn't think there would be that much flex in the body? Is the ground absolutely level where you took the measurements, perhaps try measuring again in another location?
