    NP O2 sensor?

Why would a catalog show an NP petrol Pajero requiring 3 O2 sensors?

I'm also assuming the NM 4 wire and the NP 4 wire sensors are the same?

    Cheers

NP model had both 3.5 and 3.8 petrol versions. NM only 3.5 .
Only thing I can put it down to! Although by rights the NM and NP 3.5 would be the same sensor

I would be very interested in this myself.. I would like to change mine as a part of the service schedule but have found it a little hard to find what will fit my 03 NP 3.8ltr.

I found this on e-bay but don't think it will fit mine!!! May help with yours.

Find many great new & used options and get the best deals for MITSUBISHI Oxygen Sensor - PAJERO NP NS 3.8l Outlander ZG ZH 3l Express SJ 2.4l at the best online prices at eBay!

      Hope it helps

        Also this one.

Will fit an NM but it is not listed for the NP. He has a listing of 3 sensors for the
NP. Do the diesels have O2 sensors?

Also pulled mine out last night and gave it as clean. Two methods were listed on
        the net.
One was to heat the O2 sensor to orange hot the plunge into cold water and repeat.

The other was to soak in petrol over night and give it a bit of a shake.

        Well I did both.

Soaked in petrol for 4 hours then blew out with compressed air and repeated 2 hours later.

Then I heated the O2 sensor to orange hot and plunged into cold water. Repeated 5 times.

So far and this is very early days, things are looking good. 70km's today on a full tank.
Previously this would have seen the needle close to 3/4 of a tank.
Now it's just below full. Fingers crossed!!!!

Why would the sensor be different between an auto box and a manual.
The engine doesn't give a rats what gear box it's driving???????
