    NL Brakes

I have 20" wheels (305/55R20 Arturo Trail Blades) on my NL Escape, which makes the brakes pretty underwhelming (because of the increase in overall diameter = 15%) Are there dics brakes maybe from a later model that will bolt straight on?

I don’t think so & there aren’t many upgrades for the nl. IMO the brakes are ordinary at the best of times , even with standard tyres, much inferior to the gen 3/4. What I’ did when I had 33s on my nl was to replace all the hoses, flushed brake fluid & fitted softer pads. It helped a bit but that’s all.

NT shorty 3.2l tdi, pretty stock with rear locker

One thing to be wary of when fitting larger Rotors/Calipers (if they are available) is if your standard Booster / Master Cylinder is up to the task of supplying enough pressure / fluid to make them work efficiently.

I went through this process with a previous modified car and ended up needing a new (larger) Booster/Master that was up to the task.
