I know for a fact many people on here are more than willing to help.
They cannot help though unless you list weights carried when you are loaded & the correct ball weight, bullbars etc not just rear axle weight.
Might also pay to advise what the van is in total weight?
If you are use to an empty ute sprung vehicle i'm sure there will be options for springs you'll be fine with in your current vehicle empty that will handle the load.
If your not happy with the ride the springs required give empty & don't want WDH hitch, I guess you'll just have to change rear springs next weight down & fit airbags?
What is the terrain you tow in?
Tar roads or offroad a lot?
All this info will give people more to work with & offer a solution you may be happy with?
But coming from a ute see how you go maybe with no airbag & correct spring for the tow application.
You could have huge ball weight when loaded, depending on how far back your trailer axle is & what you put in it obvioulsy.
There are such things as progressive rate springs, meaning they ride more solid when compressed via load weight than when extended whilst empty under minimum load conditions.
