    2015 NX rear end swaying

    G’day
Have that problem for over 2 years now.
After Simpson Desert trip. ( had a few impacts, not my fault it’s the mate am trying to chase up )
While driving along the road at any speed and felt the rear left hand is sweeping over a slight bump and also was with a group out for a trip and they noticed something isn’t right.

    During those months-
Have went to mms twice and 2 different mechanics during service/ check over and ask them to check it out. Was told nothings wrong.

Had all tyres replaced as felt rear driver side was humping and due to be replaced.
Went upsize from 265/60/18 to Goodyear duratrac 275/65/18.
Have notice 1 of the old tyre has feathered but they couldn’t tell which side it was from.
    Problem still there.

Had replaced rear king springs MD to HD as thinking it was sagging but still there.

Switch the rear shocks over, check over and the problem is still there.

Had wheel alignment by a professional.

Had look over the forums and thinking could be the sway bar or the bushes.

Am starting to lose my trust with the mechanics now.

    Does anyone had this problem?

    Cheers
    John.

Just thinking out loud but has the rear subframe/cradle been checked for metal fatigue?

Have you tried seeking a suspension specialist rather than just general mechanical?

I'd be inclined to think it be a problem with a suspension bush somewhere.

Get another wheel alignment by a different "professional".

Insist on a printout of before and after measurements.

If you still have this problem, post the measurements here.

          I agree.

Where in Adelaide are you? I’ve personally had good advice from SA Suspension at Pooraka.

If I understand your description correctly, the rear of the car is unstable and it feels like you have an out of round tyre, is this correct?

I had a similar problem on M&M's NX after we changed the rear coils, it ended up being a rear toe adjustment that was out so one of the rear wheels was steering inwards, lifting up the rear of the car then once the load was too much, the tyre it would push back out before it starting tracking inwards and lifting the rear of the car again.
You couldn't detect the problem until about 70kph and by 80kph the effect was significant and dangerous.

I have also had suspension wheel alignment experts say they have runout of suspension adjustment when really the adjusters are seized and cannot be adjusted.

Book a 4 wheel alignment at Bridgestone Regency Park with Rick. Must be Rick.
Was recommended by another Pajero owner and would not take mine anywhere else.
Mine was terrible from brand new and he sorted it in no time
