Major problems in the GPRS network https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPRS_c...ode_.28SGSN.29, going to take a while to fix this one... It appears to impacting users across the country I can now receive calls but was off the air for most of the afternoon.

    Cheers,
    Stephen

Yep, couldn't call any mobiles from our Office Landlines or our Mobile phones. Would either be an engaged signal or just a dead line or the call would just cut it self off before connecting. Chased my tail with a couple of PBX's we have before realising it was affecting our mobiles also.
      All good now though.

My phone still displayed 4G and full bars, just couldn't call anyone else on Telstra mobile.

Banks were a classic - 25 minute wait to deposit a cheque today.

Said it was the Telstra outage affecting their computers!

              ANZ, BTW.

Hubby's texts still haven't come through to me.

              Both Telstra.

Telstra have advised they will be giving us a day of "free" data on Sunday.

While the outage was short in duration we fully realise the impact it had on our customers, which is why we are offering all of our customers a day of free mobile data this Sunday. Customers don’t need to do anything to receive the free data, it will happen automatically for all of our mobile customers.

                  Link here.

it might be a good day to use your phone as a hotspot and upload a heap to the cloud. 4G upload speeds leave my ADSL2+ uploads for dead.
