    Catalytic Converter NP 3.8 2006

    Hye guys my Catalytic Converter is stuffed leaking out the seems what the best alternative for this straight pipe, aftermarket replacement pull it and tig it my tig skills aren't that good but gota start somewhere

    I have the exact same thing happening to me, But its the two cats in the y-pipe. Mine is plugged so bad the car won't run when it is above 30deg outside.
    I am frantically searching for replacement and/or a fix. Unfortunately I am in Canada, "Monteros" are not that popular here.

    I have found something on ebay, but it specify's for a 2004, mine is a 2003! FFS! I wonder what the difference is?

    As for the large cat, I bought on from Rock Auto here in North America

      Still having a lool around with not much luck found a couple of second-hand units but they are off NP's that have about the same mileage so would probably fail soon anyway don't think its worth the $250.

        Why not drill out your upstream cats with a drill and use o2 extenders to keep ecu happy. Replace the downstream one on main pipe.
