Hey all,
There's an issue that's reared its head when shifting into reverse. There is some type of mechanical chatter or rattle coming from either the trans or somewhere in the front end. It only lasts for a few seconds but obviously not normal by any means.
It doesn't occur shifting into any other gear or when stationary only when moving into reverse. But when moving in reverse or drive there is a grinding or rubbing sound very similar to the sound brakes make when there is no pad material.
The oil and filter in the trans has been changed recently ( Penrite ATF FS ) but I'm pretty sure it wasn't flushed, not sure if that will make any difference. The front diff solenoid was changed earlier due to the flashing diff light.
It has me stumped because the car was driving fine one min than next day this is what I find.
Sorry about the long winded story just have no idea and i'm dreading it's something major and i'm looking at either a rebuild or new box.
