    Front doors metal scuff plates-exceed

    Hi,
Does anyone know how to remove the metal scuff plates that are on the surface where the door bottom closes. They have Pajero written on them and I want to remove and place on a new Pajero that doesn't have them? Seems to have two black caps that look like they should be able to be removed but I can't.

    Cheers

Pretty sure they are just held in by clips.......just need a flat wide implement to lever them up.

Good luck trying but they are very thin aluminium held on by double sided tape from memory and tend to bend easily.

They are available as an accessory.

Theyre not on the plastic trim as they are ds taped to the body work

Remove very carefully as they bend easy and the tape is solid!!......ive removed mine...hated them as the rubber around the edge fell away too easy and made them look shite and they just looked tacky, much different than i was described at the dealers

I put the stock ones back on and am much happier now

I fitted the alloy ones to the front, I left the double sided tape off and use only the black clips, and yes on the driver's side the thin rubber strip is falling off a and looks like crap, can't see them lasting. To get them off with tape you would have to destroy them and replace with std ones

I used a combination of long stanley blades and fishing line and got them off without damage...but it took forever and i now wish i just tore them off lol
