    Leaky Bilstein rear shock

    Hi all

One of my NW Pajero rear Bilstein shocks is leaking and I am wondering if it is feasible (cost effective) to have it reworked or is it better to simply replace? I ask as I believed these were rebuildable. If so does anyone know if there is anyone in SA that does this?

Доброго дня . Чисто теоретически амортизаторы можно разобрать и починить , Но где брать на них запчасти , не понятно .
Опять же с давлением газа как быть ?

I have had 3 Bilstein front strut failures and all were non repairable because the shaft was damaged and the cost of parts and labour exceeded the cost of a new item.

Just changed the original Mits 2009 shocks with a mileage of 169,000 km for new KYB Skorched 4s. Very happy so far.
I admit the front shocks could have been leaking for a while?

And is it cost effective to do so?
