    Check Engine Light Coming On

The check engine light has come on several times recently. It seems to come on after a 5-10km drive and then after stopping for 2-3 hrs it comes on. The Code is P0113 which is IAT. I can reset it with the Scangauge and all is well for a while. Any clues?

At the time I was trading my 2005 NP Exceed, some lights were coming on occasionally.
It was intermittent, so not really a concern. I think one of them was the ABS light, can't remember the other one.
Anyway, I told the salesman of this and during his appraisal he took it into their workshop and one of the mechanics "reset some codes"
I still don't know what ti was causing the problem, the car was on sold, no problem.

Could the plug in EGR module cause the problem. I which loom or position is the IAT module located ?

Well try unplugging the module and see what happens

First up try cleaning the MAF sensor which is located in the large black plastic intake hose directly after the air filter housing. The sensor as well as reading air flow has air temp sensor. When cleaning only use MAF cleaner NOT WD40 or brake cleaner or anything else. Pics below of location.

The air temp sensor number 2 is located in the metal intake pipe directly after the throttle body. Pics below of location.

All this info can be found within this forum on the on line tech manual. Link below.

Thanks for the information. I'll investigate further. The problem with it only coming occasionally make it difficult to track down

Have you got an SPV or other EGR delete in the airbox loom?

Some other members have had problems with the resistors/connections failing.

What’s the worst that would happen if the resistor failed or connector came loose? Just a CEL?

Yes i have an SPV module. I'll give the connectors a clean. The light had been on for a few days however this morning there was no light but the code remained
