Default Another injector pump problem 3.2 did

I've had my nm at diesel specialist for a week and got the bad news. Injector pump buggered The thing I cant work out is it still drives really well with plenty of power. Problem is when I pull up it hunts/lurches forward if that makes sense. Its like I have the left foot on brake pedal and right pumping the throttle on and off, kind of like what you would do if you wanted to entice somebody into a drag race. I still cant believe its the pump I mean wouldn't it not drive real flash allround? If I didn't have to stop you wouldn't know there was an issue. Anyone had this happen I'm told they've never seen it on one or anyone have an idea what might be going on? It has been thoroughly tested I'm told but cant believe it.

Speed sensors perhaps, cheap as chips compared to a pump rebuild.
Have a search on here, but this has come up a number of times from memory.
They affect low speed timing control of the injectors.

Cheers,

soo.. why not spend the little bit of money and change them anyway.. worst case is you end up some spares.

You cant easily check them. You need to get them really hot to fail. Also looked at the output of mine when in fail condition and the waveform looked fine, albeit with some noise on it. Change them before changing $5k worth of pump.
