As long as the marks line up it shouldn't matter. it will spring back so make sure it goes the right way when you push the pump in an the heli cut ( angle) gears will rotate the pump as it goes in. Good luck

Default Fuel Pump

Hello Again,

I am having a really hard time putting the fuel pump back I tried for over 5 hrs just to put it back and it would never line up with my marking.

The gear spins out off place. I managed to hold in place with a screw driver. But it does not want to go in easily. Than, when I start moving it to fit in place the gear spins.

I just happened to be that the marking is where the pump get hard and spins away.

What am I doing or did wrong.

Any advised to put the pump back in?

I got instructions to take it out but not to put it back in.

Thank you

Any advised?

Try to turn the pump gear back, opposite way it want to spin when you push it in, from memory turn it back toward the top of the engine as it will want to spin toward you as you push it in.
Do not turn it back to far. try one tooth at a time. Check every time it slides back in, if not right pull it out turn back 1 tooth try again. It will drive you crazy and your back will hate you for it. Good luck

Default fuel pump is in

It took me some time and play with the crank shaft.
Plus a mechanic friend of mine.

It run perfect though the fuel pump still draining empty.

I replaced the o ring on the fuel return (green solenoid) and still drains.

I put and plug on the return line right out the fuel pump and hold over nite.

Anyone have a thought why is the pump draining?
