I have two of the 1080p dashcams with GPS from Eagle Pacific. One in my car and one in the wife's Each was around less than $100 delivered and works fairly good.
Good foto. A lot more people are going to find themselves in trouble with the law as a result of these cameras. If a copper pulls you over for speeding he only has to check your camera and he has the evidence. Happened to a motorbike rider not long ago....
I've got 2 - a Blackvue DRG400 and a Mini 0806. Both have the pros and cons but if money was no object I would go the Blackvue brand again as it has excellent video (night and day) and the software that comes with it is quite good.
On the cheaper side, the 0806 still has very good video but the software isn't as good. Also with the 0806 you can't move from one car to another if you own 2 cars. I used to swap the Blackvue between cars before getting the 0806.
So if you're prepared to spend the money I would recommend the Blackvue any day.

The one I linked came with suction cup style which did not adhear to the black dot section of the windscreen. I got two 3 quick release mounts with 3M adhiesive fairly cheaply which makes it easy to move between cars, if needed. My dashcams have decent night footage.
