    Nitto Grappler AT

I was going to swap out the factory Bridgstone 693's for a set of 697's on my brand new MY17 Triton.

Then I noticed a set of the Nitto's sitting in the corner.

Thought, why not, let's try something new.

Went from a 245/70/16 to a 265/70/16. This is what the Tritions should come out with.

Nicer ride, slight lift, best of all, fill the massive guards.

Seem solid in the wet, no road noise, $600 change over.

replaced the rear shocks with a set of Bilstiens too.

All within 48 hours of ownership.
MY17 Triton GLX Plus with Mitsubishi Canopy. Keeping it light and simple. 265/70/16 Nitto's, Bilstien shocks, Kings Springs front, Formula leafs rear, ECB nudge bar, Ligjtforce 170's, twin batteries and a ARB fridge.

      Which Grapplers?
I have run Terra Grapplers for about 50k, still have around 8mm of tread. Plenty of offroad/dirt and rocky track use. Starting to get a few chips in the tread but still very happy with them.
      Prado 150 petrol.
Now gone but still have great memories of adventures - 2010 PB auto Challenger, Factory tow bar, King springs, Oztec shocks, Firestone airbags, TJM steel bar, snorkel, bash plates. Redarc brake controller, custon draws, second batery in back. Anderson plug, redarc isolator, manual circuit breaker. Towing jayco eagle outback 2005.
Turbo replaced under warranty at 159200 klm. Engine dead at 190000 klm.

I see the Nitto Terra Grappler is available(?) listed on the Australian Nitto website in 275/65R18.

Looks like a good alternative for the 18 inch rimmed Pajeros.

        Anyone had first hand experience?

O2, the Nitto Au website only lists the 265/70R-16 as a 112 load index passenger construction tyre. Are yours P or LT construction?

                        OJ,

They are only a P rating.

The original tyres were 111, these are rated at 112, so they are legally rated.

LT rated are an overkill for what I want to do.
