Odd Clutch / Gear Change Behaviour

Hi Folks, I wonder if you can help me ?

2002 4-door Pajero 3.2 DiD Auto

Sometimes on a cold start the clutch takes an extra second or two to engage after I release the brake, the N lights stays on when i shift into D, and gear changes are rough. If I park up and restart the engine from completely off, the car behaves as normal. Any advice ? (I’m not a mechanic)

How many kilometres has the car done and when was the trans last serviced (oil and internal filter changed)?
