    melted steering wheel control stick

    Hi all,
Today I tried to adjust the steering wheel height and the rubber around the knob was like warm toffee, not just sticky, all melted...

any idea on how to replace it?

    Thank's

I really can't answer your question on replacing the adjustmant lever/plastic, but I would be more concerned as to why it melted in the first place.

I assume there would need to be some serious heat to melt the plastic.

Not sure what the deal was, but in the winter it was a little sticky and the next summer it started to flow down on my knees. I cleaned it well and since I don't use that very often I pay attention to those sharp edges...

Thanks for your help. I guess I will clean it as well (removing all the toffee!) and see how I can protect these sharp edges...
