Best (cheapest) courier to ship a bullbar?

Anyone know of an interstate courier service that would be cheapest for shipping a steel bullbar to QLD? Gonna shop around for quotes but if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great.

      Hi TC,
I send all my stuff by pack & send ( as you should know ).
They use either TNT or TOLL depending on where it is going.

I haven't found anyone cheaper than these guys ( if you do it on line ) and don't get them to do it otherwise you will get ripped a new.

You can do a quote online also to get some idea of cost.

I found www.interparcel.com.au good when sending a 32kg wheel interstate. It gives you quotes from several major courier companies.

Use to use a freight company to move my motorbike. TOLL took over the company and price went from $640 to $2400 overnight. Good on ya Toll ya thieving

TOLL,NQX AND I-PEC all the same company anyway.
          cheers

I use e-Go (Hunter Express) as well Andrew and if you use the depot to depot option it is a lot cheaper.

You can also put the item on a pallet to reduced the cost further.

Just play around with their estimator to work out the best way to reduce overall cost.

            Cheers

I shipped a bull bar from Mandurah south of Perth to Sydney with direct freight express. I had an account with them, it cost me about $130 from memory.

StarTrack would be more expensive than direct freight.

Try temando they use lots of couriers.

Been involved in transport for a while. Direct Freight or Hunter Express are good budget carriers, Couriers Please would be another option. The suggestion from andyk is a good call to keep cost down.

Hunter express gets my vote. Startrack express was a PITA for me.

Hunter Express for a Bullbar from Brissy to Melb last year was around $90 - depot to door.

Whatever you do, DO NOT USE TNT. I bought a bullbar from Lismore, and got a quote from the local TNT agent for $85 to ship it to Cooma NSW. Next thing, it arrived - very quickly indeed. Then came the bill. I finished up paying over $290 for freight. I didn't have a TNT account, and the local agent was going to use his account for me, but in the end that was not to be. I got the bar quite cheaply (off EBAY), and it finished up costing less than a new one, but it left a nasty taste in my mouth about TNT and their agents.
