    front crank seal

    Hi,

    Im just wondering if anyone know how to remove the seal from the front crank, im trying to get to whole shebang off with the oil pump as well so i can replace all the seals etc .

    an easy way to pull out the old seal is by screwing in a couple of self taper screws agacent to each other so these can be used as the anchour point for prior leaverage with a screwdriver or whatever is on hand.

      i went to supercheap auto paid $5 or $7 for a seal remover kit has little hook end and few other screw drivers ends aswell worth while paid for itself 1 million times on 1 rebuild

        Sump needs to come off to get the oil pump off.
        I just use a little screwdriver, if it won't come I use a scribe to hook into it and comes straight out.

          use 2 screwdrivers to pry it out, wet and dry shop vaccum also works LOL

            the sump is off the oil pickup is off as well. I swear whoever did this last time used a whole tube of sealant on the sump and rear crank seal mount thingy.
