Another MMCS replacement thread (2012 Platinum with 12 speaker fosgate)

G'day Guys,

Been trawling this forum/internet and spoke to a pretty clued up auto electrical / audio guy. Would like to replace the HU with a Pioneer DDX9019dabs however I have the 12 speaker fosgate setup.

The auto electrical guy reckons it works with the lessor speaker fosgate setups but the 12 speaker and to expect drop outs and pops etc.

High on the motivation to swapout HU is a setup with Carplay.

all 12 speakers run to the amp. Then from the amp . I believe two speaker wires run to the front.
Thats what you have to join up to the head unit.

Secondly. The amp has 3 wires

ground, permanent power and a remote turn on cable.
That remote turn on cable is blue and white.

The harness kit adaptors have that connection. If not then join that wire to your aftermarket head unit remote amp turn on wire.

if it doesnt have one. Make a switch to that remote turn on amp wire
