Default Mitsubishi UK/ Europe closes

It would appear Mitsubishi is having a few financial issues

Pulling out of the Uk & European markets from all reports.

Once they no longer meet the emission standards, pulling the pin.

Long live the Pajero

Gee the wording is ambiguous. Sounds like they could be moving the manufacturing of Pajero to Japan from Thailand?

Unfortunately no, Pajero factory closes early 2021 & Pajero production ends with it.

"Pajero Manufacturing" is the name of the subsidiary company, which also manufactures Delica and Outlander (?). They are moving the subsidiary company to another location to continue manufacturing Delica and (the other), but they're not moving the Pajero tooling.

I did notice on one page there was a reference to two other "new models" for ASEAN, but no other information.

I also took some small measure of comfort from "Providing our reliability through 4WD and off-road performance", and a "Next Generation Diesel".

Time will tell.

Sad to see the demise of the Pajero. It was surely coming, but still a sad thing.
One would think a company will do that it takes to keep their flagship model from dying, but been proven otherwise.
