What audio unit do you have?
EDIT: Just read your other post. I gather you have an SDA. The handsfree is built into the SDA, the microphone is separate. What issue are you having?Last edited by DibbyDibbyDJ; 13-02-20, 08:00 PM.2024 Outlander

The hands free sound only comes from one speaker. That's the way it is supposed to be.2016 NX GLS Factory alloy bar, Provent 200 catch can, Boos bash plates (full set), Stedi light bar, 40 litre Waeco, Titan fridge slide, Kings springs, Toyo Open Country AT3s, Auto-mate, Ultragauge, Uniden 8080s, Tanami x11, more to come...

You may have already checked but does the speaker work ok for music? If it works for music then it's not the speaker connection.2016 NX GLS Factory alloy bar, Provent 200 catch can, Boos bash plates (full set), Stedi light bar, 40 litre Waeco, Titan fridge slide, Kings springs, Toyo Open Country AT3s, Auto-mate, Ultragauge, Uniden 8080s, Tanami x11, more to come...

X2 to first check the speaker is Ok using the radio.
The volume of the hands free can be adjusted using the up & down buttons on the steering wheel (same as used for radio sound), but can only be done when you are on a call. It may simply be the volume is set too high & overloading the poor quality speaker?
The hands free sound is set from the factory to only use the front left door speaker.
It can be changed to use only the right hand speaker - can't remember how to change it, but there is a thread on hear with the instructions.Pajero NX MY21 GLS

I have removed the speaker from the RH side and fitted it to the LH side, Still distorted. Plus i have change the volume up and and down while using the mobile and there is a change in volume but still distorted. - the radio is fine
Where does the LH speaker connect to. The RH speaker is fine when using GOOGLE MAPS for example. cheers

issue solved - swapped the large rear speakers in the back door with one in the left hand door and it worked, the multi meter to the connection point on the speakers showed open cct, eg speakers both left and right door speakers had open cct - soldered new wires between the plug connection point to the speaker - both all fixed - updated software to 2.2 also - many thanks
