    Dpf delete resistor mod

Hi I'm looking to delete my DPF on my 07 NS pajero, I have read on here a guy by the name Madman has done some sort of resistor to the one or 2 sensors on the dpf system.

If I'm reading this all right I need these resistors to trick the ECU when I does a burn to it thinks it hits the required exhaust temps?

I have searched and read nearly every thread on here regarding it. Tried to PM madman but bo response yet.

And help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Why would you want to remove the DPF when it is there to deal with diesel particulates which are carcinogenic?

Thanks OJ I had a read of that one already but it doesn't seem to mention what resistor to use

330 ohms or 390 ohms DPF Delete Temp sensors 2 and 3 resistor values

Hi are you sure its 330 Ohm or is it 390 Ohm? Reason is I have seen both values quoted here.

Also a google search on other vehicles also suggest either a 330 ohm or 390 ohm resister value.

If anyone has done this mod, can they please confirm the value?

I've tried contacting Stoneman, but had no reply.

            Thanks everyone,

If you have an OBD2 reader you could try monitoring the reported temperature while trying different values to see which takes it over 600deg

                ,

                Correct. It's a massive shame.

We still converse by phone and email.

Stoneman is done and dusted here.

330 ohm worked perfectly for me when the temp sender on the dpf failed. Not been a single issue since.

You can still remove the DPF without puting the resistor mod in as long as you replace the temp sensor.
It will just continue to do the burns but I found I got more kms between burns each time maybe because there was no dpf and it measured how blocked the DPF was each time.

Ok I will try the 330 ohm first.

At room temp, my existing RTD is 250 Ohms. Would be nice to have the curves as you could simulate heat on the RTD and check the resistive value.

I'm stranded in Rockhampton at present thrown a dpf and cel after I assume a failed dpf burn I have worked out that a 390ohm will give me 620c do I need to install it into the 2nd and 3rd sensor in the exhaust? Also can it be then cleared with any decent obd tool or do I have to find someone with a mutt3.

                              thanks in advance
