Thanks for the suggestion however I think that part number is for a fan, not a fan shroud.

Being a two-piece steel shroud from a 30 year old vehicle they tent to rust and people remove them. The later model shrouds are not compatible. I have been searching on and off for a long time, including at wreckers. I got lucky last week and picked one up on ebay.

apologies. Yeah wrong pn. I have the same vehicle and my shrouds are fine. I found the correct part numbers, bottom = MB605354 top = MB356158. They can be ordered through amayama.com, about $100 each. What i did for my petrol 2.6ltr 4cyclinder swb pajero, is get a plastic shroud from a gen2 v6 (3.5ltr) and cut it to shape. You need to make some brackets up to suit, but it its easy enough to do and worth while doing. The v6 shroud is the correct size, just the mounting is changed. Attached a pic for reference.
