Welcome aboard the good ship Pajero.

I notice you are from Lismore and eventually you are hoping to get a big service done..

There are a few good mechanics floating around the Northern Rivers, so you will be spoilt for choice.

Anything Diesel related that is giving you grief...Lismore Diesel..in North Lismore...at present they would be in a bit of strife with the floods that are happening at present.
When they get sorted out..give them a try..they know their trade...really very well, they are not cheap, but you are paying for their expertise..plus they drive a Pajero as well.
The local MMA dealership...well..let's say I wouldn't take my lawn mower to them to service.
I used them only for warranty work and even that in some cases was painful exercise.

Hope to see you on the tracks around the Nthn Rivers some time, when I get back home.

Doesn't compare mate. I'd pick the Paj anyday. Even with some egr issue which im facing at present

I owned an old 90 series 2000 Prado which had just under 350,000kms on the clock. It was good for bashing around and not much else. It was much rougher in the steering, gearbox and comfort. I bought it because it was very very cheap.

It has been pretty crazy here at present, we have water front views!

I strongly agree with you there about the Mitsubishi dealer, i won't be seen there..

I have been tossing up between between Lismore Diesel or Chris Albertini's to get this Code P2413 EGR System sorted first... hopefully its nothing.
Depending on the price get the manifold and intake pipe decarbonised and an inspection on the timing chain guide done.

Hope to see you on the trails mate.

Just having a read on the code it's probably just stuck after being gummed up with crap.

If you're handy take it off and give it a clean. Probably just do the whole intake at the same time.

There are a few simple things you can do the the NS to overcome the dreaded DPF and associated systems to make life easier.

Thanks Slo78u, I have heard a few nightmares about the DPF.

Im off to Fraser island in a few days and will not be taking the Pajero When I return I will be taking it to the shops to have the manifold and intake pipe to be decarbonised and an inspection on the timing chain guide. I will be doing the oil, air and fuel filter myself most likely as well.

Going by Mromilios signature, he has a manual NS, I thought this doesn't have the DPF, only the autos do.
