    Ns Pajero Map sensor location

    Hi all,

Pretty new to doing maintenance jobs on my car.

I’ve recently started to experience a real lack of power going uphill in my 07 NS Pajero.
Reading through the posts on this forum, I’m trying to do the ‘simple’ things myself before stumping up $800 for a manifold clean.

I’ve fitted a munji egr delete, cleaned the MAF sensor. I want to clean the MAP sensor but have no idea where it is located in the engine bay.

I’ve attached a photo, could someone please point it out to me?

Apologies for the lack of knowledge, we all start somewhere!

    Cheers,

    Mal

The MAP is bolted to the top left hand side of the fuel filter bracket.

The NS has a common problem with a blocked or split hose running from the MAP to the manifold. The hose is short and thin. Take the hose to supercheap and buy what you need. Also put a small srewdriver into the pipe at the manifold to clear it if it's blocked.

If that fails looks like a manifold clean.

Thanks a lot for your advice!

I’ll give that a go and repost results for future searchers.

      Thanks again,

      Mal

In your pic the MAP is plugged into the blue connector.

          Thanks Aussieintas and Brucenbobbie.

Replaced the hose yesterday, went on a 5hr drive today with the family.

The difference was amazing, actually overtaking going uphill.

          Thanks again.
