    My new daily/fun car

Traded a set of spotties for the old girl picked up an '83 318i 5 speed a few days ago, seems like a cool little car, just need to sort out some issues

    Cold start
Leaking fuel line (soft hose from hard line to banjo fitting on the engine)
Will do the distributor cap, rotor and plugs as there's some dead spots below 3000rpm
    Fuel filter
    Good clean up

    And then;
    Fit new handbrake cable
Figure out why the speedo works but not the odometer
    New seats
    New interior door handles
Rust in the bonnet, front windscreen surround and passenger door
    Replace head lights
    New bumper
    New glovebox

Then get onto the fun stuff
    New bushes
    Swaybar upgrade
    Struts
    Suspension

As it is, it still drives well, some basic service bits and pieces and I'll veryyy slowly get her up and running to her true potential.

If I agreed with you, then we would both be wrong

A bit of a cut and polish and it will be a pretty snappy looking beemer.

I love the 80s BMWs, possibly up to around the 1990 mark.

Looks like a fun little project!

Yes with European cars, even BMW's, there's usually European sized problems!! But hey, it's a 30 year old car, it only cost you a pair of old spotties and a couple of months work out in the shed? what more could you want??
        Cheers, Tony.

Need a wipper snipper? I have a spare and want some lights

mum had an 86 or 87 535e and I always like that car. Older BMWs are cool.
