Would it help to undo the metal bracket that holds the metal hose to the caliper?

i have drum rear but want to convert to disc, because im over the automatic adjusters, they kept adjusting them selves till they lock on which makes it a pain to get the drums off to back them off abit, i just snapped the adjuster tab off untill i get discs

i have the drum rear and i took the self adjusters off.. My right rear drum got stuck on because of the adjuster came apart and the spring that holds the shoe on came off too and the drum was mega stuck on

yes timing belts give no warning when they break unlike a timing chain that will get rattly before they break, belts are ment to be changed every 100 000km but mine hasnt even done that yet
