Could someone please tell me if it is possible to replace the UCA ball joint without replacing the whole UCA? Everywhere I have read and asked have said the ball joint is integral to the UCA. All I want to do is replace the boot cap which has split.

Well that is a surprise. MM has changed the UCA from the Challenger. The ball joint is a non replaceable item on the UCA.
I would push for a warranty fix.
It maybe possible if the joint is just dirty, to wash it out, re lubricate and fit a new boot.

This the the UCA ball joint boot for Challenger, Triton, Gen 3 & 4 Pajero so it may fit the Pajero Sport.
