    Electronic Side Steps...

Hi all yea I'm still about

As you most know I'm now in a 200 Series L/Cruiser as I found the Paj was a little to hard on the old bone in the back..

Well after setting up the Cruiser with similar mods plus a GVM up grade I've found over the last 6-8 months my back has degenerated & I was struggling to get in & out of the beast..

So after talking to my mates at Creighton's TJM, I researched Electronic Side Steps and pretty quickly put my concerns aside in regards to how they'd stand up to Off Road use.

They are rated at 300kg per side & I can say without doubt more solid than the stock alloy on the Cruiser's & Pajero's. On top of that they tuck up higher anyway, (well in the case of Cruiser, so I'd expect that in the Paj too). So concerns aside it came down to TMax & Clearview.. Both rated same 300kg. From my research I went with Tmax as they had dual motors per side over single on the C/View & also came with an extra 12 mths warranty.

They bolt straight onto existing points no holes need drilling wire straight to Aux battery, (in my case), have LED lights which shine down on step when in use & have an override S/W so you can turn off for Off Road if they could hit on use, (Note: was surprised this S/W is under bonnet, so make sure if you do get.. "ASK" them to put in cabin), the steps also auto stop if you forget to hit over ride or for some reason a leg or item gets caught on closing.

So for those with back issues it’s a no brainer fantastic mod

Bloody oath mate I’ve had a fusion to my neck 2 collapsed discs in back..
Had to give up a lot of sport sell my ski boat.. was told to stop Off Roading back in 2000.. Yes I’ve given up some of the real hard stuff but in saying that I’ve upgraded so I can still do what I love.. Any that I go 4 Wheelin’ with know my issues so I have all the recovery stuff & only go serious stuff with those that can & will give me help if needed..

The Cruiser is like an arm chair Off Road so while I’m walking & can I’m grinning...

I've got 4 prolapsed discs in my lower back, and still get out whenever I can.

Physio says it's good for me

Don't know how old you are Gus or what is wrong with your back.

When I was 18 I was bullet proof and had a job involving very heavy lifting. Yep i screwed my back up. At the age of 50 I said screw this and had surgery. Best thing I ever did. Not saying it's right for you. Took four specialists to find one that would operate.

          I also lost 32 kilos.

Yep had spinal fusion, neck C6-7 told lower back 85% chance they’d put me in wheel chair so waiting on advances down the track or if I can’t stand it. In the meantime I’m coping knowing my limitations & grinning cause I’m still walking

            Oh & I’m 60yrs young
