Remove and refit sliding rear windows Help!

    Hi All
I have a good ole '85 2.4 petrol Wagon 215K on the clock and still going strong. NB.
I'm chasing rust around the roof edges, want to get up inside the roof lining to get at it. To do that I need to get to the top of the rear window seal.
How do the rear side sliding windows come out - and go back in?
Do they sit on the cutout sill - these aren't bonded - and go back in with the rope in the channel trick?
I don't want to get them out and end up there!!
There's a video on youtube of some guys with an old Chev ute doing the rope thing for a rear window...is it the same method basically?
    Many thanks for any help.
