Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited (MMAL) is celebrating 30 years in Australia and has released the 30th Anniversary Edition ASX to mark the milestone. This limited edition ASX builds on the already popular 2WD variant with a number of interior and exterior upgrades.
Like most vehicles in the MY12 update, driver visibility has been increased in the 30th Anniversary Edition ASX with the inclusion of a rear-view camera. The monitor automatically appears in the electro-chromatic rear-view mirror when reverse gear is engaged.
Based on the model year 2012 ASX 2WD, the 30th Anniversary Edition is available with a 2.0-litre, four cylinder DOHC 16 valve MIVEC engine coupled with either five-speed manual transmission or CVT with INVECS III.
The special edition ASX?s interior receives a number of luxury upgrades including leather seat trim, heated front seats and power driver?s seat while cabin convenience is enhanced through the inclusion of steering wheel audio controls and Bluetooth.
The addition of 17-inch alloy wheels, chrome muffler tip, privacy glass and special edition 30th Anniversary badges updates the exterior while the striking ROAR body-kit, which includes front air dam, front bumper cover, rear air dam and single rear muffler, enhances the sporty lines of the ASX.
MMAL vice-president of corporate strategy, Paul Stevenson, said the 30th Anniversary Edition ASX represents excellent value and performance wrapped in a stylish package.

The ASX 30th Anniversary Edition offers high-level occupant and driver safety with RISE body protection, ABS braking system with EBD, Active Traction and Stability Control and driver and passenger, side and curtain and driver knee SRS airbags.
Available in White, Cool Silver, Black, Titanium and Kingfisher Blue the ASX 30th Anniversary Edition is a value-packed addition to the popular ASX line-up.
The ASX 30th Anniversary Edition is covered by Mitsubishi?s 10 year / 160,000 km non-transferrable drive-train warranty, five year / 130,000 km new vehicle warranty, free five year/130,000km Roadside Assist and Capped Price Servicing for the first four years or 60,000 km of ownership*.
