    Checking for carbon build up

Following on from my thread in the Gen4.3 group, is there an easy "check" I can do to see how my engine is going carbon build up wise ??

I've done a search, but nothing really came up. What is it that people do if they want to gauge where their engine is at ?

Is there a particular hose or part you can remove that indicates the level of soot build up ?

    Thanks

Remove the intake hose to the throttle body and look into the manifold. If you can see build up that far up the manifold then you have significant build up. Below picture is from my ns. Or get a borescope camera to look further into the manifold
