    Challenger is working perfectly

We always hear the bad news from our friends experiencing difficulties.

Its really easy to focus on the negatives. How about some positives.

Like when i went to Bylong Creek 4x4 park with a mate who has a BT50. My PC did everything his car did with much more ease and less trail damage.

Or cruising along the freeway sucking down 9lt per 100km in comfort.

Anyone else got a positive tale to tell?

    Yep,

114,000 reliable km's. 7 years as the family bus.

Only fault, crappy auto trying to tow.

    Great all rounder.

Only just upgraded to a MQ Triton. Would of got the new Challenger, but we wanted another ute this time around.

Just going over mine with fine tooth comb at the moment as 5 year warranty is nearly finished, found nothing underneath no leaks or anything to report. Only issues were airbag loom and a leaking injector seal. No other issues in 75000km.
I have not fitted any catch can or resister mods or anything at all. Will my inlet manifold be blocked who knows but it runs fine much quieter now with the recent $900 service and valve/tapped or whatever its called adjustment.
I have no issues with the auto it drives like any other auto and I've had maybe 15 other auto cars, only the zf in the Falcons are in another league.
2022 Paj Sport, Grey, nicely hidden factory towbar, thanks MM,

7 years, 175K no issues apart from the airbag light being on since about 30k, but just can't be arsed dealing with services centre so its staying on . Couple of auto limp modes but other than that a really good bus. Nothing is going to be perfect and there is still nothing else on the market thats ticks as many boxes, so until she becomes unreliable will be running it into the ground.

Apart from normal servicing, no maintenance costs for mine. I haven't suffered any of the issues others have reported. Has done everything from family long-distance road trips to seven hour low range days. On a recent five day high country trip it didn't miss a beat.

105,000kms, 30% off the bitumen at GVM to GVM +150kg. Airbag looms x3, Bilstein front struts x 3, crap traction control, crap auto but I drive in semi manual mode most of the time and this improves the drive experience. Happy to load it up tomorrow for trip be it a weekender or a month or so with confidence it will make the trip with safety, reliability and comfort. There is nothing else on the market I would replace it with at the moment.

77,000km in just over three years. Apart from a couple of self imposed modification related issues everything has worked well. Generally very happy with it with around 10 litres per 100 kilometres its long term average for my manual.

It is a keeper as spent a fortune on modifications and like it's ability to soak up the kilometres as a cruiser plus goes everywhere I want to.

Just with a little more thought by MMAL it could have been a great rather than good vehicle.

Another good news story here. 57000kms, been in for the Airbag Loom fix, the Indicator Stalk fix and the Cooling System check (ok). Does everything I ask of it from carrying the brief case only Monday to Friday, to hooking up the camper, load in the family for everything from a weekend away, couple of week trips cross county touring and plenty of 4WDing in between, all on the standard suspension and most of it on the original Bridgestone H/T's. I sniffed around for a replacement last year, but didn't find anything I had to have, so am sticking with my Challenger. Still enjoy driving it every time I jump in it.

But then we would be paying Pajero or even Hilux money.

I only paid $40k for mine 7 years ago.

$40k for a family sized wagon, center and rear diff lockers, coil springs and a live rear axle is pretty good.

Bought our March 2012 PB 4x2 auto in March 2013 for $31777 drive away with 12 months registration and full tank of fuel. Speedometer is about seven percent too fast so use GPS to monitor speed and cruise control on trips. Recently did 2500k round trip and used 8.75l/100k and usually less than 10l/100k around town.I have suggested to my wife we sell it and buy a smaller more fuel efficient SUV but no she loves her shopping trolley and I tend to agree. So far it has proven to be very good value for money with no issues.
