I tried the Tacoma option but this proved of no value either. I think the best bet would be someone who has the ultr MX having access to an scangauge and possibly checking parameters on it.
Well mine showed up today !! Bloody fast delivery !
Install time. .......
should BE INTERESTING. hOPE YOU HAVE BETTER LUCK THAN ME. kEEP US POSTED. I THINK ANYONE WHO HAS ONE OR IS GETTING ONE WILL NEED TO KNOW WHAT SETTINGS ARE USED TO GET AUTO TRANS TEMP READINGS.
Wow, I shouldn't have been a tightar$e and paid the extra postage dollars , still don't have mine. I am in WA (Wait Awhile) though.
Hey cookie did you get a FedEx tracking number ? I bought it last Thursday night , it was dispatched Friday and got it yesterday , all tracked on FedEx website

I went the cheaper US postal service option cause I was working away at the time anyway and figured it wouldn't take that much longer. The tracking says it left the US on the apr 29 but no updates since then so who knows where it is. So there's a lesson for anyone else ordering one, go the FedEx option
I've done some research and have a bit of a theory.
Please bear with me but there are a lot of similarities between the Scangauge auto trans temp codes for Pajeros and 200 series Land Cruises.
From the Scangauge website...
200 LC
TXD 07E121D9
RXF 032100000000
RXD 2802
MTH 00010001FFD8
I then found someone who has got the Ultragauge auto temp code working for the 200 LC (http://www.myswag.org/index.php?topi...0237#msg720237)
The code they were using is;
TData 07E121D9000000
Tctrl 92
Rctrl 10
Rpos 0810
Mitch 210000
X:0001 /:0100 (I think this is a type and should be /:0001) +:FFD8
Mine arrived yesterday and had a quick play last night but no luck getting trans temp. The paperwork has a section on converting xgauge codes to mgauge but Xgauge doesn't have the rctrl/tctrl values. Flicked an email to ultragauge and got a reply back within 12 hrs and they said try the values that geopaj has listed above. So tying all that together I put the code in as in pic below and am now getting a value that looks right. Will have to confirm with a drive tomorrow.
From an xgauge thread there were 2 locations for trans temp and apparently FFD0, rather than FFD8 matched a MUT3 scanner.
I'm about to head off on a week long fishing trip to shark bay towing the tinnie through sand so this will be very handy! Should also give a good indication if we have the right temp.

I tried the code and it all fired up..My car sitting over night showed 25 degrees for the engine temp and 25 for the trans temp on the engine watchdog..When I started car up the Ultragauge showed 26 for the engine and 45 for the trans temp.
The ultragauge has always been several degrees higher than the watchdog with regards to engine temp. This I expected. However there is no way that the trans was 45 degrees sitting overnight. I reckon its reading about 20 degrees too high.
