Hi guys I have a 2007 D I D Pajero exceed 3.2 diesel and while I’m driving the engine stops dead , today she did it 5 times she only does it if we are travelling slow . She doesn’t do it when you do 100klms . She had been serviced fuel filter done and suction control valve as well. Took her to Mitsubishi and they plugged A computer and no friggin fault code. Went to fuel pump specialist and they reakon there isn’t a problem with pump then took her to a auto electrician and they had no idea what it could be. When we restart her after engine dies we have to put foot on gas to get rev up as she didn’t want to idle. But on way home up hills no problem she seems to behave when under load. Not nice when b***h stops at roundabout and traffic lights a bit scary. If u have any ideas what could be wrong wud luv to hear from u as my hair is going grey with worry
I checked the air flow sensor and cleaned it and the egr valve no carbon build up found out it has a blanking plate on it. today i did the fuel tank filter which was a real bugger to do, many many swear words i can tell you, i was muttering it bloodly better be blocked the filter but nope not at all, and same problem. by this time if i had TNT it would be toast. when she goes to die we have no throttle its limp as nothing there. it started up a dream but then it dies afer sometime a minute or 10 minutes. any ideas welcome. also put the 2 fuel hoses together to see if it still stalls and yep she did Last edited by rottweiler; 02-06-19 at 05:25 PM. |

Typical dealership techs..no fault code..no problem..never bloody think outside the square...fools.
Ok..so at 100 Kph..no problem..purrs like a kitten..no stuttering, no real delay when you tramp the go peddle..good pickup. Only problem when you are low speed and low revs puttering around town. When it stops next time..safety permitting..lift the bonnet..check the manual fuel pump..if it is soft when first pushing down.. then gets hard, after a few pumps( sound like a movie I once saw)..you have air getting into the system..somewhere.. at low speed / revs..prior to getting to the injector pump. I hope that gives you something to work with.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
