I went the one with the card, they are a little more expensive but I figured just like everything if you get the use out of it you soon forget about the price

Got the mut a few days ago.
Lots of problems getting the software to load on the computer. Still a few glitches.
Did a dpf regen. Found out the reason the airbag light is on.
Not sure yet how to change things (light timeout, etc) but super keen to learn.
Would love to program the dpf out of the ecu. But I think that's a long way about my skill level.NS Pajero, with stuff.

Slo78u,
What was that in aussie dollars and how long did it take you to get it.
PS are you pretty techy or a bit like me. Im just worried i wont work out how to use the thing properly, particularly after all the horror stories of MMA mechanics being so hopeless, but at same time too scared to do a major trip next year without one.

I am pretty good with figuring stuff out. It did take me a while to get the software loaded but once connected to the car it's all fairly simple. You just go into each section (engine, gearbox, transfer) and then have options in them.
I still can't get into the computer to change light and wiper settings.
There are some top blokes on here that have helped me out heaps through PM and even hooked me up with the latest software.
CheersNS Pajero, with stuff.

Quick question, those of you that have successfully loaded and connected to car, was the windows os 32 or 64 bit?
Reason i ask is that i have win 7 64 bit, software loads but craps whe connecting to vci/mut.
Have provided logs to seller and they say 32bit only...even though install doco says 64bit as well.

I bought a MUT III when I got my NW Pajero back in 2013. The version I had wouldn't work for me. The seller in China tried for ages, initially suggesting changes and finally using Teamviewer (shudder), but to no avail. Eventually I sent it back and got a credit, but because the unit price included delivery to Australia, I had to pay return postage. Cost me over $60 out of pocket.
At the time, the only version they reckon would work with the software was Windows XP, which I had (and still have). Whatever it was, it was a disaster. I would still love to have a MUT unit, and maybe one day they will bring out a Windos 10 version for my new laptop?
