I need to replace the tyres on my Pajero, they were brand new when we bought the vehicle and we have done about 60000kms on them. They are just cheap Silverstone Estivas. They need to be replaced now.
Now I'm looking at getting some decent AT's to replace them. I was looking at maybe getting some BFGoodrich ALL-TERRAIN T/A KO2 in 265/70/17 121S.
I'm looking at going up one size from stock to the 265/70/17 so i still remain legal but also gain a slight bit extra clearance.
I assume the 121S rating would be ok for a Pajero?
I've seen a couple of people mention getting 100k plus out of of them, is this normal? I'm all for paying a but extra if it means getting a better tyre that will last longer.
Any other suggestions?
Not sure if I should just go with 4 and leave the spare tyre or spend the extra to get a spare that I'll probably never (hopefully) use... The current spare is still 80-90% and I've never used it... but it would be a different size (265/65/17) so not sure if that would cause issues if I had to use it to get back to a tyre shop?
