2000 NM Slight Vibration @2000-2300 rpm

    Hi
NM Pajero exceed 5sp auto has a slight vibration between 2000 - 2300 rpm it occurs when free reving as well as driving in all gears and this falls right at 95klph - 110 kph in 5th.
There is no vibration below or above these revs.

Have tried to check the engine mounts and exhaust mounts and they appear ok except the rubber muffler hanger appears streatched approx 50 mm ?
however it still looks ok. The vehicle is standard and has approx 200000 klms. Any Tips?
    Thanks Pete

Pete, I have the same problem with mine. Have done some work underneath and repaired the gearbox crossmember mounts which were pretty worn. Since doing the repair the vibration has got a lot worse. I suspect that there is a design problem somewhere relating to the mass( hence the vibration block on the back of trans) of the eng and trans. The stiffness of the trans mounts seems to make big difference, so this is where I will start investigating.
