Another day on the wagon, bout 5 hours or so. can you tell im single yet??? hahaha this build is progressing very quickly, stoked to take her for a run soon.

Did some electrical today, ran cable from front to rear

distribution at the rear is by a breaker panel:

In order to get that installed had to strip panels.. when stripping panels why not replace speakers... quick trip to supercheap later and some 6x9's are in place.

Sitting pretty and looking rather staunch.

265/65r18, basically went up 1 profile size. jsut enough to look agressive on the short body but retain road manners.

Hey cruisn some nice 0ics and like your shorty

Question for when you did your rear speakers as im about to do mine..........looks like you didnt take the top white part of the trim off around the side window only the bottom black part...that right?

Also what was the mounting depth like with those Pioneers as the ones I was looking at are about 10mm deeper?

Only ask as ive looked into it and says that the top part has to come off first.....any tips?

I did mine a couple years ago and struggled to just remove the lower half as from memory the upper clips in over/on top of the lower black piece.

Sounds like a plan - I'm out in the goldfields at the moment and back every second weekend but that should only be until May.

I've been meaning to give RangerJ a ring and head out for an explore, will let you know when I organise something.

just pull the top out at the bottom to get the 2 screws hidden that hold the bottom in and you can get it out. its doable easily without removing the top section

After my trip there is a few repairs to complete. fuel tank gaurd got shaken bad enough it wore out around the bolt and falls down. otherwise I got myself a flashlube prefilter for my diesel. good idea with the common rail as I'm a little worried about a bad batch of fuel ruining a trip.

The install was supposed to be straight forward. but it wasnt, the bracket didnt fit nicely, nor did it sort out the issue with relocating a fuse box you have to move.
You can see the bolt heads that foul on the fender

Chopped them off and rewelded for plug welds for clearance then made a bracket to support the fuse box so it stays facing the correct direction. I have seen other people installs and they jsut zip tie it on its side. not really helping the electrics there.

The kit came with the wrong size hoses. basically it was a waste of money for the install. but made it all work in the end.
