    Me too.

However, I find myself wondering if, assuming those who notice a difference aren't crazy, the issue is the tyres. That is, I have BFG KO2s which are more aggressive and heavier than the OEM tyres and which create some NVH in their own right. Perhaps their NVH masks the difference in 2H and 4H with standard road tyres.

I recently fitted Toyo Open Country MTs, which are undoubtedly the heaviest, lumpiest and noisiest tyres I've ever had (comparing with Cooper S/T, Wrangler MT/R, Cooper STT, ST Maxx, Kumho MT51). Even with the Toyos I don't notice a difference between 2H & 4H.
NT Platinum. DiD Auto with 265/70R17 ST Maxx, Lift, Lockers, Lockup Mate, Low range reduction, LRA Aux tank, bull bar, winch, lots of touring stuff. Flappy paddles. MMCS is gone!

Project: NJ SWB. 285/75R16 ST Maxx, 2" OME suspension, 2" body lift, ARB 110, 120l tank, bullbar, scratches, no major dents. Fully engineered in SA. NW DiD & auto in place - a long way to go....

That is exactly my point. Are those who experience the difference using benign road tyres?

Sorry - I thought you were suggesting lumpy tyres make it worse.

            Hi All,
Thanks for contributing to this discussion.
Looking at the models owned by contributors it is quite clearly an issue that mostly affects gen 4 vehicles. So I ask what has changed. Engine output? Auto gearbox? Something has changed causing a change in either driveline alignment in 4H and or the mounts for the engine, front diff and gearbox are not able to isolate normal engine vibes whilst in 4H under acceleration.
Pretty sure it’s not the tyres/wheels, driveshafts or cv shafts. They put out first order vibes and their amplitude is not significant compared to the second order vibes put out by the engine. Therefore it is also not vehicle speed related. It is drivetrain load related.
It is a significant change in NVH in 4H and would be easily noticeable with heavier tyres.
            Any informed suggestions welcome!

I’ve raised this issue in a thread I think titled NVH in 4H.

Virtually no difference in my 2016 NX, stays in 4H for 90% of the time. I do recall wondering in the past whether I've noticed a slight increase when putting it into 4H but it's barely perceptible so once it's been in 4H for a while it's become the new "normal".
