    Gday,
Is the build up of crap more of an issue on the common rail motors? Took my NP to my mechanic and he said it was really clean, and only 1 port was blocked up. Why would it be different for the direct injection and the common rail?
    Cheers,
    Andrew.

sodablasting is softer, I would think sandblasting would pit the surface too much

What do you think of removing the swirl valves? useful ? (EGR still delete , catch tank installed last year ) .

I'm thinking to paint the inlet with hi temp paint , I will see if I find something good

To clean the cylinder head, how did you do? turn the engine on to close the valves, and use a scraper and vacuum cleaner?

My partner is not going to like the vacuum cleaner full of tar lol

Just buy a second hand vacuum....unless you have always wanted a workshop shop vac!
