DPF'S- How bad are they really?

I had problems with my DPF, which I got rid of. Obviously people tend to post about it when they have an issue with them, but not when all is going fine.
SO, I want to know if your car has been ok with no DPF problems or a source of grief. I don't want to know what you've done about it, simply problem or no problem. Could you also give the vehicle mileage. Ta in advance, John.

Bought my wagon used with 210k on it. drove it with dpf in till I hit 250k and used normal oil, not the low ash stuff with no issues, but mainly did highway so it was always running hot. never gave me any grief at all.

tore it all out before it gave me any grief.

Yeah my dpf was fine on my 180k kms NS SWB.

      I do mostly 60kms weekdays 75% 80km/h drive......
Also used the cheapest semi oil I can find and no problems

And now I have dpf removed.....and suffering the consequences of a toxic exhaust smell...

143,000km. I've had it for two years, it had just under 119,000km when I got it. Most of my driving is short runs (20min or less) around 50km/h areas, a few min on motorway, but not much. The last few months I have had an alarm on TorquePro app so I know its doing a burn and I can drive an extra 10min on the motorway to let it finish, but before that I had no idea and just drove as usual.

I haven't had any problems with the DPF and haven't had the DPF light come on.
I use Penrite Enviro+ 5W-40 every 5,000km, I don't know what was used before that.
