Yes 17" rims with one size up in tyre profile fit, however 16" rims will not fit the front but will the rear.

I tested the 16" 6 spoke alloy wheels of my 2011 PB and they did not fit but tried a set of 17" PB alloys and they did fit on a 2015 PS when they first come out. Some offset P38, same 6 stud and same hub bore diameter.

PS should be better off road because of the 8 speed auto, deeper low range, improved traction control and a standard rear E Locker.
Only issue I can see is the PS side steps are more vulnerable to damage than the Challenger and of course the flimsy factory splash plates are not up to even light duty sand off roading.

There is a thread called ‘will these wheels fit’ on page 2 of Pajero Sport sub forum which contains a photo of a Pajero Sport with a OE PB Challenger 17x7 1/2 +38 Alloy and Steel rims. I am running these on my Pajero Sport when I go offroad. Tyres are 265/70R17 A/T’s. No rubbing of guards or mudflaps, even with a good layer or mud within the guards. I am very happy with the Challenger rims on my PS.
